A practice programme for senior leaders
AI Enabled Executive
build it once, lead with confidence
So that AI decisions are yours again: you work on your own project for 8 weeks and develop the judgement to assess the benefit, cost and risk of every AI initiative yourself.
The practice programme
In 8 practice days you build your own AI solution: yourself.
In a live-guided group you work over 8 weeks on an idea of your own, in a secure environment, with your own data. You learn to develop, evaluate and decide together with the AI. In the end you judge for yourself what AI can do in your company, because you have experienced it yourself.

“From one thing, know ten thousand things.”
What to expect
You work remotely on your own AI project at your PC, straight in the browser. We guide you along the way; the doing and deciding are yours, together with the AI. The list of practice days below gives you a rough sense of the agenda; in the end it follows your own undertaking and your own pace. Each day opens with a short introduction to a specific topic, matched to where your project currently stands.
In an individual kick-off conversation beforehand, we set the content and goals of your personal project and you receive an introduction to the working environment provided.
-
Your idea+
You present your idea to the AI and think through together which functions and processes it needs and what should come out at the end. The AI helps with research and discussion, documents everything and produces a first functional concept of your project. -
Architecture+
You discuss and finalise the architecture of your project. The AI supports you on data strategy, data usage and technical constraints. Which degree of automation is the right one, and when? Dive deep and let the AI guide you through the topic. -
Decision+
Final discussion and evaluation of the functional design and technical architecture of your project: with all the pros and cons, and a check of whether it meets ethical or legal requirements. -
Prototype+
You have the AI build the prototype, in several rounds, depending on your undertaking, until it runs and your idea becomes visible for the first time -
Testing+
Put it through its paces: you test, clear out errors and optimise the prototype step by step -
Perfection+
From prototype to goal: you develop the solution further and refine it until it meets your standard -
Outlook+
A look ahead: which features, extensions and channels are still possible: the future landscape of your solution -
Wrap-up+
A look back at your journey and the key lessons learned, and how things go on concretely with your solution, server* and its value in your world
What you learn at a glance+
- Working with AI as first-hand experience: the key competence of the years ahead, earned on a venture of your own
- Prompting as a craft: precise tasking, iteration and correction, across ventures lasting weeks and across several projects in parallel
- Context discipline: structuring and storing project knowledge so the AI carries on reliably across sessions and weeks
- Token and cost control: understanding how context windows and token consumption drive cost, and aligning working style, context size and model choice with that
- Architecture and design of AI-supported solutions: cutting tasks, separating components, choosing the right degree of automation
- Skills, agent flows and scripts used sensibly: what gets automated, what gets delegated to the AI and what stays in human hands
- Judging the limits of the technology: how language models work, why results vary, where they hallucinate and where context is lost
- Steering data and data flows deliberately: what leaves the server, where to; data strategy, data sovereignty and the conscious use of US and third-country providers
- Rights, access and secrets: what permissions an AI actually holds on server and machine, separating credentials, avoiding unintended data outflow
- Legal and ethical frameworks: AI governance, AI cost control and the ethical and legal constraints including the EU AI Act and its transparency duties. On completion you receive an online-verifiable confirmation of participation stating content and hours: usable for your training documentation under Article 4. More on this
- Independence from ready-made tools and platforms: building flows yourself instead of clicking them together
Who guides you
Two coaches who build themselves.
You work with the two people who developed AIEE and run it themselves. Both come from the practice of the German Mittelstand, and both taught themselves AI from the ground up.
Michael MaiSenior AI Solution Expert · initiator and coach
Over 20 years in transformation and operations, in family-run mid-sized companies and in manufacturing industry. Today he builds AI solutions that create value in aftersales, and he brought AIEE into being.

*AI server in the sense of your own agent server with direct use of AI and full rights on that server: an individual server solution for this programme and your own project, independent of your private and professional setups. The server runs at Hetzner in Germany (ISO/IEC 27001, BSI C5 Type 2) and is fully provided. The AI access, in the sense of Claude Code, is set up as your personal participant seat on that server: you join by invitation and sign in with your own login, activated together at kickoff. On request we set up a dedicated access address for it, fully separate from your existing accounts.
Common questions about the practice programme
What will I learn?+
You learn to work with an AI as a team, on a real project of your own, in a secured environment, without touching your professional or private systems. Together you think ideas through, structure them and write them up into a specification. You weigh paths and approaches and decide together what the first build looks like and where it goes from there.
What you take away in the end:
- Real experience working alongside an AI: the key competence of the future.
- Prompting as a craft: precise tasking, iteration and correction, across ventures lasting weeks and several projects in parallel.
- Context discipline: storing project knowledge so the AI carries on reliably across sessions and weeks.
- The grounded ability to judge and steer AI applications yourself, instead of believing it.
- A reliable sense of the strengths and limits of the technology: why results vary, where it hallucinates, where context is lost.
- Token and cost control: how context windows, context size and model choice drive cost.
- Conscious handling of your data: what leaves the server, where to, and how you take responsibility for it; plus data strategy and the deliberate use of US and third-country providers.
- Working with AI, delegating and parallelising: handling files, storage and context safely, keeping credentials and secrets apart.
- Independence from ready-made tools and platforms: building flows yourself instead of clicking them together.
What is the intensive workshop, and how does it differ from the practice programme?+
In the practice programme you implement a project of your own in full across 8 weeks: from the first concept to a solution that actually runs in the end. What you learn there, you learn from your own experience, and the time you spend with the AI along the way is the real turning point.
The 1-day workshop conveys the knowledge interactively with the AI and on your own AI server*. The 2-day workshop adds practice directly on examples and intensifies your own experience of what you have learned.
In both formats you get a test environment of your own: your own AI server* and your own AI access, explicitly beyond the last day, so that you can keep experimenting afterwards: one month after the workshop, three months after the programme. Plus a confirmation of participation stating the actual hours.
What is this AI server of my own, and what do I get from it?+
From the first minute you work in an environment of your own, fully set up: an AI agent server* in Germany and AI access of your own to go with it. You sign in and start; setup and operation are on us. That is the difference to a course that explains on slides what it would be like.
That buys independence. The environment is no platform of ours that you move into: there is no account and no login on our side. You work in your own space, separate from your private and business systems, and once the included period ends you decide: keep the server running, move to an environment of your own, or leave it there. What you learn here stays with you even if you later settle on entirely different tools.
And it lowers the barrier. The machine is steered by language. Whoever works technically goes deeper and looks under the hood; whoever does not simply describes what they need, and gets it. So everyone in the same room has their own experience, and everyone works hands-on.
How much time and effort should I plan for?+
As a guide, plan for about one day a week. You work remotely in a live session on your project. In between you can keep working on your own project, or let the AI keep working.
How much you invest between sessions on top of that depends on your intensity, your technical affinity and your prior knowledge.
Is there a fixed curriculum?+
No, and that is deliberate. There is no fixed curriculum, no script and no on-demand video course for you to work through alone. There is no ready-made learning package that runs the same for everyone.
The core is working together in real time: we sit together live and develop the steps session by session on your own project, not you alone in front of prepared material. Your undertaking sets the way; what we do follows wherever it leads you. The project is the learning, not some body of material that stands in front of it.
The AI is a tool you operate yourself, not our teaching material. What makes the programme is the shared live work on your undertaking and the experience standing at your side while you do it.
Are there exams, grades or mandatory material?+
No. We test nothing, grade nothing and monitor no learning progress. There is no mandatory material you'd have to pass, no lessons to tick off and no test at the end.
You work on your own undertaking, and we work alongside, as a partner at your side, not an examiner above you. What you take away shows in your project itself, not in a grade.
What if I break something?+
Your working data, everything that belongs to your AI solution, is backed up continuously in the background. If you take it apart, we bring it back; the environment itself we simply rebuild if need be. Read that as an explicit invitation: play it safe here and you'll learn very little.
Can this run on EU-hosted AI?+
Optionally and on request, using EU-hosted AI is possible in the Sirius option; “Rigel” and “Vega” run on US AI. Beyond cost, though, an EU setup noticeably narrows the feature set and the experience.
We deliberately recommend using US AI in an independent test environment: it is exactly this direct, self-owned engagement with a real AI that is a learning effect at stake here.
For companies under stricter obligations, the server environment can additionally be integrated into your own cloud solution in the "Sirius" option. Talk to us.
What happens after the project?+
The environment and AI access run for 3 months, with the costs fully covered by us. After that you can keep the server running with us quarterly and continue your projects on your own. The AI access we provide ends with those 3 months; to carry on, you use a subscription of your own and attach it to your server.
Am I tied to certain tools or platforms afterwards?+
No, quite the opposite. Ready-made tools for automation, AI agents or AI platforms are always just narrow frames for one particular workflow, and they keep you dependent even when you no longer need them.
Here you build your own instead: after the programme you create any workflow yourself, and the effort is barely greater. Build it yourself instead of clicking a template, no platform lock-in, real teamwork with an AI. Full individuality, full independence, exactly what you need, nothing more and nothing less.
And the legal and ethical frameworks: governance, costs, the EU AI Act?+
The decisive framework topics come up where they become concrete on your project: AI governance and AI cost control, data strategy and data sovereignty, US and third-country providers, ethical and legal constraints including the EU AI Act, copyright, and the question of who answers for an AI's suggestion. Not a dry legal lecture, but short introductions exactly where the question arises in your own undertaking.
That way you take away a feel for what matters on these topics, and when to look more closely or seek advice back at the company.
What data do I work with, and what about data protection?+
Your working environment sits in Germany: that is where your files live and where your agents run. The AI itself deliberately runs at a US provider; no language model of our own runs on the German server. So the environment and your data stay in Germany, while the model calls go to the US. We say so openly; it is the reality you will be deciding in back at the company as well. EU-hosted models are possible on request in the “Sirius” programme option.
Which data you use is your decision: business, personal or made-up. You run a company; you are equipped to make this call, legally included, and we won't patronise you about it. Together with your AI you analyse the flow and use of data in your project and decide deliberately, building block by building block, for or against, with all the consequences we lay out for you beforehand.
That is precisely the competence at stake here: making that decision consciously, instead of working around it.
Do I get a certificate?+
You receive a confirmation of participation, verifiable online: via a code anyone can check at any time that you completed the format you booked, what it covered and how many hours it comprised.
You can verify a confirmation on our verification page cert.aiee.eu: enter the code, confirm authenticity.
Does this satisfy the AI literacy obligation under the EU AI Act?+
Article 4 of the AI Act requires companies to foster AI literacy among their staff. The workshop and the programme are one building block towards that.
On completion you receive an online-verifiable confirmation of participation stating participant, date, content and hours. It adds to your internal training records, for instance in the context of Article 4. The legal assessment remains with the company.
Are the workshop and the programme eligible for public funding?+
In principle, yes. Both formats are built the way public training subsidies usually require: scheduled dates, a fixed number of hours, documented content and a confirmation of participation at the end.
Whether funding applies in your case depends on the specific scheme and your situation: KOMPASS for solo self-employed people in Germany, say (90 % of the qualification costs, up to 4,500 €), or the Skills-Scheck for companies with a branch in Austria (50 %, up to 5,000 € per person). Requirements differ by country, funding body and point in time, and budgets are usually capped.
For the workshop there is one more thing: the relevant schemes have minimum volumes and conditions under which a one- or two-day format does not carry in every case. That depends on the individual case and is decided by the funding body.
One thing to note: funding applications normally have to be filed and approved before you book bindingly. So talk to us early; we'll tell you frankly what looks feasible and provide the documents the funding body needs from us. The funding body alone decides on approval; we cannot promise it.
In the price block you can switch on the two most common schemes and see your own share immediately. While a scheme is switched on, the path deliberately runs through an enquiry rather than an order; for exactly that reason: a binding booking before approval would put the funding at risk. The funding body alone decides on approval; we cannot promise it.
