The intensive workshop
Don't talk about AI. Work with it.
You experience how AI works: the opportunities and the potential that come with it, and the risks just as much. All of it on selected examples, each one standing for a particular ability or characteristic of the machine, in direct collaboration with your own AI environment. Experience rather than listen.
Both formats are built consistently towards practice. The knowledge you need — from the fundamentals through the technical limits to the legal frameworks — you work out yourself in interaction with the AI. It is the same idea as in the practice programme, compressed here into 1 or 2 days: a comparable understanding of the core elements of AI, so that you can decide and assess for yourself. Along the way you see which data leaves your AI server* and which does not, and you set out how you would later tell whether a venture is paying off.
The work is done deliberately without standardised tools that demand a login and create a dependency. There is no prepared code: what emerges, emerges from your work with the AI, right at the base and without the filter of a product. It is a different way of working, it creates independence, and it is expressly training on AI rather than on one particular tool.
That makes it a format for decision-makers short on time who nonetheless have to form a judgement of their own: to assess and steer the AI ventures arising in their teams reliably.

What to expect
You work remotely on your own machine, straight in the browser, and throughout, live, on your own secured test environment: your own AI server* with your personal AI access, which we have already set up for you. Being separate from your private and professional systems is what makes it possible to try things out, to test the limits and to experience it for yourself. We guide you throughout; deciding and formulating you do yourself, together with your AI.
Day 1. Six blocks in each format, opening with a short piece of substance and accompanied by dedicated examples that make the knowledge tangible together with your AI. Questions are collected through the day and answered in a fixed round in the afternoon.

How AI works+
How language models work and where their limits lie: why they hallucinate, why they become imprecise, and why the same question gets two different answers. This is where it becomes clear why a long conversation gets slow and expensive: what a single working step of the AI draws on in context, and what that costs. -
The workspace+
You set up your own environment and put it in order: what the AI holds in mind, what it is working on right now, and what is filed for good. The distinction looks technical and decides whether an AI still knows tomorrow what was decided today. -
Conducting, not executing+
You build a small tool of your own, without writing a line of code. You describe what it should do, the AI builds it, you read, check and correct course. In the evening you call it and it reports on your own day. It stays on your environment and keeps running there. -
Data: understanding the flows+
Which data actually leaves the server, where it flows and what that means for US and third-country providers. On selected examples you experience how an AI handles confidential information and what that depends on in detail. After that you know what really matters in handling credentials and confidential information. -
Success factors for AI ventures+
Why an AI venture can be led differently from an IT project: there is no sign-off in the classic sense, the value only appears in operation, the cost keeps running, and the risk sits in the usage rather than in the technology. From that, the success factors, each with one test question, and the 4 figures a venture is steered by: usage, saving, quality, cost. You build your own metrics overview and put the most uncomfortable question to it: where does that number come from? -
Legal and ethical frameworks+
Placing yourself rather than learning statutes: where does a venture sit in the risk classes of the EU AI Act, and where must you disclose? What copyright means when third-party material goes in and something published comes out. And the question it all comes down to: who answers for what the AI suggests, and at which point does a human have to look before it leaves the house.
Day 2. The second day carries on with what you experienced the day before, on larger examples and with the framing it needs. You walk the route once, all the way: the examples become a decision paper, from that a decided project brief, and from that the order in which it gets implemented.

From the examples to the decision paper+
On a larger example you take a venture apart: which data it needs, what the system has to be able to do, where the real forks lie. Together with your AI you draft a decision paper from it: two routes and a recommendation at every fork. We then sign it off together in the group and talk it through. -
Deciding and writing the project brief+
You decide the forks and record them so the decision holds, in the project brief. What matters here is less the result than the route to it: the process of arriving at a decision together with the AI. The brief you produced together is then put to the test by the AI, and that outcome is the starting point for the next discussion. -
From the brief to the roadmap+
The decided brief turns into an implementation roadmap: what runs first, what comes next, what waits on purpose — each stage with duration, precondition and benefit. Then the group takes the roadmap apart: where did the AI estimate too optimistically, which dependency is missing? Finally the first stage gets a measure of success, drawn from the four metrics of day one.

Two coaches who build themselves.
You work with the two people who developed AIEE and run it themselves. Both come from the practice of the German Mittelstand, and both taught themselves AI from the ground up.

What will I learn?+
You learn to work with an AI, in practice rather than in theory: yourself, live on your own test environment, on selected examples we provide. You give the AI the task, read and check what comes back, steer, discard and decide.

What is the intensive workshop, and how does it differ from the practice programme?+
In the practice programme you implement a project of your own in full across 8 weeks: from the first concept to a solution that actually runs in the end. What you learn there, you learn from your own experience, and the time you spend with the AI along the way is the real turning point.
The 1-day workshop conveys the knowledge interactively with the AI and on your own AI server*. The 2-day workshop adds practice directly on examples and intensifies your own experience of what you have learned.
In both formats you get a test environment of your own: your own AI server* and your own AI access, explicitly beyond the last day, so that you can keep experimenting afterwards: one month after the workshop, three months after the programme. Plus a confirmation of participation stating the actual hours.
What is this AI server of my own, and what do I get from it?+
From the first minute you work in an environment of your own, fully set up: an AI agent server* in Germany and AI access of your own to go with it. You sign in and start; setup and operation are on us. That is the difference to a course that explains on slides what it would be like.
That buys independence. The environment is no platform of ours that you move into: there is no account and no login on our side. You work in your own space, separate from your private and business systems, and once the included period ends you decide: keep the server running, move to an environment of your own, or leave it there. What you learn here stays with you even if you later settle on entirely different tools.
And it lowers the barrier. The machine is steered by language. Whoever works technically goes deeper and looks under the hood; whoever does not simply describes what they need, and gets it. So everyone in the same room has their own experience, and everyone works hands-on.
What is the difference between one day and two?+
Day one is identical in both formats and conveys the entire foundational knowledge in direct work with the AI.
Day two is a hands-on day on larger examples: you walk the route from the decision paper through the project brief to the implementation roadmap, once and entirely yourself.
Do I need to prepare or bring anything?+
We provide the examples and all working materials; your working environment and AI access are ready and set up in the morning. You need a computer with a browser, a quiet corner and your attention.
Can we do the workshop together as a leadership team?+
Yes. A closed event for your company alone is possible, remote or on site with you. Scope, date and fee are agreed separately; talk to us about it. To participation
What happens to the server and AI access after the workshop?+
Server environment and AI access keep running for one month from the first workshop day, fully provided. That gives you time to work through what you learned and keep experimenting.
After that the provided environment ends. If you want to keep working, the AI server* can be kept running quarterly; AI access you continue on a subscription of your own.
What data do I work with, and what about data protection?+
Your working environment sits in Germany: that is where your files live and where your agents run. The AI itself deliberately runs at a US provider; no language model of our own runs on the German server. So the environment and your data stay in Germany, while the model calls go to the US. We say so openly; it is the reality you will be deciding in back at the company as well. EU-hosted models are possible on request in the “Sirius” programme option.
Which data you use is your decision: business, personal or made-up. You run a company; you are equipped to make this call, legally included, and we won't patronise you about it. Together with your AI you analyse the flow and use of data in your project and decide deliberately, building block by building block, for or against, with all the consequences we lay out for you beforehand.
That is precisely the competence at stake here: making that decision consciously, instead of working around it.
Do I get a certificate?+
You receive a confirmation of participation, verifiable online: via a code anyone can check at any time that you completed the format you booked, what it covered and how many hours it comprised.

Does this satisfy the AI literacy obligation under the EU AI Act?+
Article 4 of the AI Act requires companies to foster AI literacy among their staff. The workshop and the programme are one building block towards that.
On completion you receive an online-verifiable confirmation of participation stating participant, date, content and hours. It adds to your internal training records, for instance in the context of Article 4. The legal assessment remains with the company.
Are the workshop and the programme eligible for public funding?+
In principle, yes. Both formats are built the way public training subsidies usually require: scheduled dates, a fixed number of hours, documented content and a confirmation of participation at the end.
Whether funding applies in your case depends on the specific scheme and your situation: KOMPASS for solo self-employed people in Germany, say (90 % of the qualification costs, up to 4,500 €), or the Skills-Scheck for companies with a branch in Austria (50 %, up to 5,000 € per person). Requirements differ by country, funding body and point in time, and budgets are usually capped.
For the workshop there is one more thing: the relevant schemes have minimum volumes and conditions under which a one- or two-day format does not carry in every case. That depends on the individual case and is decided by the funding body.
One thing to note: funding applications normally have to be filed and approved before you book bindingly. So talk to us early; we'll tell you frankly what looks feasible and provide the documents the funding body needs from us. The funding body alone decides on approval; we cannot promise it.
